last day of the vietnam trip.

First Destination:
VietSing Industrial Park. (VSIP)

Firstly, we were led into the meeting room and were shown a powerpoint slide on how VSIP had grown over the years, and how Vietnam's economy had benefitted.

VSIP is a collaboration project between Singapore and Vietnam, and Singapore started it so as to form diplomatic ties with Vietnam.

next, we were shown sample products that factories in VSIP produce.
we were also given a coach-tour of the industrial park.






next, we went to the 'day bazzare'.
We were greeted by the wide array of goods, such as T-shirts, hairclips, bags, shoes etc etc.
It was seriously very crowded, and some of the shop keepers were wierd in the sense that when we tried leaving, they wouldn't let us.
This shows how eager they wanted to make money and let their family have a good life.
Irritated I might have been, I still think that if I were in their shoes, I would have done that.

we also passed the wet market when we were finding the washroom.
The wet market is slightly different from the wet markets in Singapore.
The seafood they sold were alive, unlike in singapore, where they will be preserved in ice.







Next up, the highlight of the trip!
The trip to the Orphanage.

Before I went for the trip, it didn't occur to me that the orphans would have problems with their health. I was really very shocked when i heard that 70% of them had problems with their heath, like having disformities, tumors, etc etc.
It never did occur to me that their parents abandoned them because they had health problems. When I saw them, my heart went out to them. They deserved someone who would take care of them. I really think that they'll willing live a life like mine, with lots of homework and comittments, but at the same time, with love from family and friends. This has reminded me not to take my life or anyone's lightly, as well as to cherish all that I have, even problems that I face. However, I was glad to see that they still smiled and looked optimistic. (:

we played with them, and we did enjoy ourselves.
one of the babies bit the window and his teeth broke, and he bled! D;
oh no.
but he was fine lah lol.

The only regret I had there was not interacting with the older kids.
They were on vacation at another resort, and I was happy to know that they got to enjoy themselves.

We got onto SQ185 and reached singapore at about 10.50pm, Changi Airport Terminal 3.
